Description
The player jumps high to place the basketball in the hoop. There is a large space between the player and the lower picture plane to enhance the jump. This was done in pastel and pastel adds to the movement of the player. I love painting movement in figures. The player does not have to worry about jumping too high as Icarus did. He flies above the crowd and any pollution. He doesn’t look down to see the tiny figures. The player knows he is soaring without any mechanical aids. This is a digital painting using only virtual pastel paint with traditional painting techniques on texture. The painting has my initials on the front. I also sell images of my art on items.
